I came across a Drew Carey quote this weekend – yes at a brewery – and it got me thinking.
“Oh, you hate your job? Why didn’t you say so? There’s a support group for that. It’s called everybody, and they meet at the bar.”
We all have those moments, and those clients (except me, all of my clients are perfect!!!) that occasionally have us seriously considering throwing in the towel. But when you, and I, sit down and think about it, how bad do we really have it?
If you have a job, not bad. If you have a job you enjoy, really not bad. In fact, here at Push I would go so far as to say that we have it really GOOD.
For starters, we have the option to work from home one day a week. One day EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK.
And we have what some might call a flex vacation policy. This means we can take time, any time. Within reason, of course. Just make sure you get your stuff done.
Being in the office has its perks, too. We work next door to a brewery. This means Frothy Beard Beer is always on tap – not just in the brewery but also the keg that’s conveniently located in our conference room.
And we have activities. So many activities. We have ping pong, we have corn hole, we have big jenga, we have a patio, and we have the Push pups!! (The push pups are a staple but as long as your dog is quiet and well behaved all are welcome.)
That’s not all. Here are few more perks that us Push employees enjoy on a daily basis:
- Happy Hours
- Weekly Yoga
- Snacks (this is more of a works with Jossalyn perk than a works at Push perk)
- Frothy Beard Brewing & Zombie Bob’s Pizza Discount
- & Charleston Young Professionals Membership
So, to answer Drew Carey; I don’t hate my job, come check it out. I’ll be at the bar!
